– Karl’s Fulbright Research in Peru

The Fulbright Scholarship Board and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. State Department conferred to Karl the Fulbright Award for the purpose of Educational Program Design and Evaluation in the Environmental Sciences and Sustainability in Latin America, with the focus on Peru. Karl’s activities comprised a core of his sabbatical and were coordinated with faculty and students at Peruvian universities, especially the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) in Lima and the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Augustín in Arequipa. Martha Bell, formerly a GeoSyntheSES Lab member, is now appointed to the PUCP faculty. One of the first papers stemming from the research associated with this award is currently under review.
