– Lab Research Projects Supported as Part of Support for Agrobiodiversity, Climate Change, and Food Security, 2015-2017

The GeoSyntheSES Lab has joined forces with Bioversity International on the project entitled “Outscaling a Citizen Science Approach to Climate Change Using Agrobiodiversity.” Activities in Fall 2015 included the development of cartographic approaches and visualizations of participant networks and seed varieties in rural communities seeking to develop strategies for adaptation to climate change in Bihar, India. These activities in the In GeoSyntheSES Lab involved Sterling Quinn, Medora Ebersole, and Karl. In Spring and Summer 2016 the Lab’s activities focused on the sub-project “New Cognitive Geographies of Citizen Science: Seed Systems and Spatiotemporal Reasoning.” Megan Baumann and Karl have been involved in the GeoSyntheSES contributions to this sub-project.
