Zach Goldberg is developing plans for Ph.D research in the Northeastern United States on food and agricultural changes, land justice, and energy transitions. His pre-dissertation graduate study this year is funded through a LandscapeU Fellowship and a NASA Pennsylvania Space Grant Consortium fellowship.

– Garrett Graddy-Lovelace, October 9, on Agrobiodiversity, Policy, and De-/Colonization
Dr. Garrett Graddy-Lovelace delivered the Geography Department’s Coffee Hour on October 9 and met afterwards with Lab members and others to discuss her most recent research and projects. Garrett is a faculty member at American University and co-founded and co-leads the Agroecology Research-Action Collective along with other initiatives and activities.
– 2 new publications on ‘Agrobiodiversity, Food Systems, and Nutrition In/Security’
Karl, Ramzi, Carolynne, and other colleagues have published a couple new articles reporting new research on food-system impacts on agrobiodiversity, nutrition in/security, and food sovereignty (J. Latin American Geography 2020) and COVID-related policy impacts on informal food systems and agrobiodiversity (Food Security 2020).
– Sara Takes Post-Doc at Boston University with Anne Short G.
Former lab member Sara Cavallo has begun a post-doctoral appointment on NSF-funded research directed by Dr. Anne Short Gianotti in the Department of Earth and Environment at Boston University. Anne’s research has recently intersected with the Lab in a BU workshop on environment-livelihood interactions in contexts of diversification, migration, and other political-ecological changes.
