– Agrobiodiversity in the 21st Century: International Workshop and Research Think Tank for Scientists and Scholars, Co-chairs Karl and Stef de Haan, 2014-2018

This fall will be the much-anticipated meeting in Frankfurt, Germany, of the international workshop on “Agrobiodiversity in the 21st Century” that is co-chaired by Karl and Stef de Haan. This week-long meeting will involve the participation of approximately 50 international research scientists, scholars, activists, and practitioners from around the world who are leading specialists in agrobiodiversity. The purpose of the week-long meeting is to formulate and address the major questions needed to guide current and future activities in agrobiodiversity research that focus on 4 areas: (i) genetic resources, ecology, and evolution; (ii) governance; (iii) human nutrition and health; and (iv) social-ecological dynamics.
